1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using BracketBuster ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time, and your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any changes.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use BracketBuster. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
3. Pools & Participation
Pool commissioners create and manage bracket pools. BracketBuster is a free platform for organizing bracket competitions among friends, family, and communities. Commissioners are responsible for managing their pool members and settings.
4. Bracket Picks & Scoring
All bracket picks must be submitted before the pool's lock date. Once locked, picks cannot be modified. Scoring is calculated automatically based on game results with escalating points per round (1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32). BracketBuster is not responsible for delays or errors in game data from third-party sources.
5. User Conduct
You agree not to: (a) use the Service for any unlawful purpose; (b) create multiple accounts to gain unfair advantage; (c) attempt to manipulate scoring or leaderboard data; (d) harass other users; or (e) reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service. Violations may result in immediate account termination.
6. Intellectual Property
All content, branding, and software associated with BracketBuster are owned by BracketBuster and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written consent.
7. Limitation of Liability
BracketBuster is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to lost profits, data loss, or service interruptions.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion, with or without cause. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
